APRIL 17 – On Wednesday, Senator Martin Heinrich voted against both impeachment charges against Joe Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. For three years, Mayorkas has lied and failed to uphold the U.S. Constitution and the laws of this country. As a result, the United States is experiencing the worst border crisis in American history.
Heinrich’s unprecedented vote to dismiss the impeachment charges reaffirms his refusal to take the crisis at the U.S. Southern Border seriously. Heinrich has repeatedly voted against border security measures and is an outspoken supporter of lawless and dangerous sanctuary cities.
“Martin Heinrich has repeatedly voted against border security, and today’s votes further prove that he is willing to put his radical agenda ahead of the safety of New Mexico,” said Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce. “As a career politician with no record to show for it, Heinrich has voted time and time again to weaken our U.S. southern border. New Mexico cannot afford the drugs, human trafficking, and chaos brought by the open border policies Heinrich has endorsed.”
Martin Heinrich and Democrats held congressional majorities and the White House for two years and took no action. Suddenly, in 2024, Martin Heinrich is concerned about the crisis at our border.
More than ten million illegal immigrants have entered our country since Joe Biden entered office, including known individuals on the terrorist watch list. Drugs, human trafficking, and crime have increased exponentially in New Mexico as a result of the crisis at our U.S. Southern Border.
Senator Heinrich voted for the bipartisan bill that included immigration reform, but Don the Loser ordered Republicans in the House to kill it, so they did. Voters know this, which is one reason Senator Heinrich will get six more years, Biden-Harris will get four more, and Gabe Vasquez will keep his seat in NM CD2.
Mr. Pearce has not learned a shrinking minority party can’t be rebuilt with whines and lies. NM needs the old GOP, not a MAGA cult.
I don’t consider allowing 5000 illegals into our country a serious border bill. And as for the “ole GOP: these RINOS are just as culpable as the current A..h…s running the country into a third rate entity. I want my country back!!!

Speaker Mike Johnson and the Republican lead US House of Representatives have repeatedly failed to pass any meaningful legislation to address the boarder.
They instead wasted a bunch of time and tax payer money to impeach a cabinet member only to have the US Senate shut it down because its unConstitutional to impeach an officials without evidence of crimes.
Mayorkas is still in the job, nothing has changed. Nothing positive would have come from his removal anyways. Congress is going to have to address the boarder but Republicans will have to get out of the way first.
The only thing more wasteful, pathetic, cynical, and partisan than the Mayorkas impeachment scam is the Republican House “investigation” and impeachment effort against the President. They have been investigating officially for at least 18 months now and what have they found in terms of crimes? NOTHING! I would generally think its a safe bet that if you investigate any politician for 18 months you could probably find something? So either the Republicans are even more inept than previously thought or Joe Biden is squeaky clean.

I agree the house needs to do something with the border i.e close it down, build the wall and deport every illegal that has violated our country’s soverienty. Regarding Mayorkas the attemprt to impeach was not going anywhere with the Senate in the hands of Schumer and the rest of the demorats/commies. hopefully the information provided during the process of impeaching Mayorkas will inflame the public’s outrage at the lawlessness of Biden et al. Finally Biden is squeaky clean surely you are joking!!! He is without a doubt the most feckless, corrupt, POS to occupy the Oval Office.
