The 2024 Republican State Pre-Primary Convention & State Central Committee Meeting—Register HERE.

Tonight, Jewish families will gather to light the chanukiah candles and celebrate the miracle of Hanukkah. This year, the joyous 8-night celebration of Jewish survival against great odds will take on added meaning as antisemitism intensifies around the world amid the war in Israel.

Hanukkah commemorates the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem during the second century B.C.

Judah Maccabee, a Jewish warrior, and his family successfully led a revolt against King Antiochus and his armies who had cruelly oppressed the Jewish people, defiled their temple and made it illegal for them to practice their faith. After the rededication, it is believed a small vessel of oil miraculously kept the Temple menorah lit up for eight nights.

Hanukkah recognizes the strength and perseverance of the Jewish people. It reminds us that although there is much darkness in the world, we can bring light into our homes and wherever we go.

The Republican Party of New Mexico wishes the Jewish community in NM, Israel, and around the world a Happy Festival of Lights! Chag Hanukkah Sameach!

  • George Soros says:

Remember when Steve Pearce, using this RPNM website, spread the antisemitic conspiracy theory that “George Soros funded District Attorneys” were corruptly prosecuting Donald J. Trump?

Blaming Dear Leader’s crimes on Jews was popular conservative politics in 1930’s Germany.

Why is Donald Trump being indicted so much? Is it because corrupt DAs are getting paid with international Jew money to conduct a witch hunt against him OR is it because he does a lot of crimes and they are catching up to him?

Can RPNM address the antisemitism of its leadership?

    • JH Cole says:

Mr. Pearce and the other leaders who run this website have not printed the word “Trump” since the day after the search at Mar a Lago, when they blamed the FBI instead of Trump. No guts, no integrity at the top of New Mexico’s GOP.

New Mexico needs a functioning GOP instead of this shrinking cult of MAGA extremists.

  • JH Cole says:

Mr. Pearce tries to distract us with syrupy salutations, but he won’t discuss actual issues, like women’s rights, the disfunctional US House or his own shriveling party in New Mexico.
But we aren’t distracted, and we won’t vote for MAGA extremists anywhere on the ballot.
