Albuquerque, November 11—As America honors its veterans today, Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce issued the following statement in observance of Veterans Day:

“Today the Republican Party of New Mexico and I honor and thank all our veterans who have served our great nation in the name of freedom. We owe all our veterans a debt of gratitude for their sacrifice and commitment throughout our nation’s history. As a Vietnam War veteran, I can attest firsthand to the courage, patriotism and dedication of these brave men and women who continue to protect our liberties and freedoms on land, on sea and in the air. Today we recognize all veterans for their service in defending our great country.”
The Republican Party of New Mexico (RPNM) advances the ideals of individual liberties for the advancement of its citizens and the greater prosperity of our communities throughout New Mexico. Led by an Executive Board and its Chairman, former NM Congressman Steve Pearce, RPNM serves all New Mexicans via its headquarters in Albuquerque and can be contacted at (505) 298-3662.

Everyone values those who serve in our armed forces, but this US Navy veteran and old White man wants to know what Mr. Pearce, Ms. Skaggs and Mr. Curtis learned from Tuesday’s thumping of the GOP in New Mexico and nationwide.

They already knew that Loser Trump is unpopular in NM because they did not use his name in “News and Press” since August 9, the day after the search of Mar a Lago. However, they lacked the guts to call him out or even explain to the faithful why they avoided using his name.

We hope they flush him now, publicly, for the good of the Party. They also need to explain why they whined about Democratic candidates’ campaign tactics but did not condemn the MAGA nut’s attempt to kidnap and torture Speaker Pelosi.

Real leaders would share their thoughts on why Dems won every statewide executive office, most judgeships, both houses of the legislature and the entire congressional delegation. Ms. Skaggs needs to explain why Nathan Small beat her in house district 36.

All of this needs to happen so they can find a way forward for Republicans in New Mexico. If they cannot present a positive program in the aftermath of the losing campaign of fear, anger and division, they should clear out and let new leaders have a try.
