RPNM Chairman Statement on the First Debate Between Yvette Herrell and Rep. Torres Small

ALBUQUERQUE, SEPTEMBER 28 — The following is a statement from RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce regarding the first debate between Rep. Torres Small and Yvette Herrell. The debate was hosted by KOAT-TV and the Albuquerque Journal:

“Rep. Torres Small continued again to try to pass herself off as someone who represents the interests of her constituents, but the Democrat consistently votes against those interests in Washington. The incumbent couldn’t explain her liberal positions in the debate. She’s always been hypocritical, claiming she supports gun rights and Republican values, but votes for gun control, to impeach President Trump and sides with Nancy Pelosi 95% of the time. She is wrong for New Mexico and tries to deceive voters in her District. Yvette Herrell cares about New Mexicans and believes in 2nd Amendment rights, promotes the Trump agenda and strong conservative values. Unlike Torres Small, Herrell is consistent and honest when it comes to her values and positions.”
