RPNM statement on Gov. Lujan Grisham today signing SB-10 Abortion Bill.

Albuquerque, February 26–The following is a statement from RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce on the Governor signing the SB-10 abortion bill:

“This is a sad day for New Mexico. When Gov. Lujan Grisham penned her name to Senate Bill 10, she signed a death warrant. She, along with dozens of New Mexico Democratic lawmakers, approved the order to end the lives of thousands of unborn children. The new law is an immoral, dangerous one–a law that allows late-term abortion and offers no protections for girls, women, or health professionals. It permits the murder of the unborn, endangers the health and lives of women, and eliminates any conscience provision to allow a doctor to opt-out if he or she opposes the procedure on moral, ethical or religious grounds.”

This is a very sad time for NM! God holds those in authority to account, for the people they have sworn to protect, especially the innocent unborn! We will continue to pray that Roe v. Wade be overturned!

  • Rick Gonzalez says:

Why the lies. I am against abortion but I am also against lies. The bill does not extend or add anything; it is simply a repeal of a law that was put in place before Roe v Wade.

Read the bill for yourself. Go look it up for yourself:

    SENATE BILL SB-10

    AN ACT
REPEALING SECTIONS 30-5-1 THROUGH 30-5-3 NMSA 1978 (BEING
LAWS 1969, CHAPTER 67, SECTIONS 1 THROUGH 3), WHICH PROVIDE
DEFINITIONS, EXEMPTIONS AND CRIMINAL PENALTIES FOR CERTAIN
    ABORTIONS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    SECTION 1. REPEAL.–Sections 30-5-1 through 30-5-3
    NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1969, Chapter 67, Sections 1 through 3)
    are repealed.

  • Hanh Gonzalez says:

To Steve Pearce, Chairman and RPNM,
Why the lies. I am against abortion but I am also against lies. The bill does not extend or add anything to Row v Wade; it is simply a REPEAL of a law that was put in place before Roe v Wade, yet you are calling this an ABORTION BILL. This does not change anything. I still have my religious liberty under federal law to not participate in any abortion procedures.

Why the propaganda? The common folk just believe and repeat the lie. I am republican only because of the lesser of the TWO EVILS but why the down right lies?
