| IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 7, 2026 RPNM Statement and Results from the 2026 Pre-Primary Convention Ruidoso, NM — Today, the Republican Party of New Mexico held its 2026 Pre-Primary Convention in beautiful Ruidoso with approximately 700 attendees, including delegates, guests, and volunteers. Nearly 450 delegates selected from their counties across the state voted by paper ballot for the following races: Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Commissioner of Public Lands & Congressional Districts 1, 2, and 3. “This weekend’s pre-primary convention proved that we have a group of outstanding candidates who will fight for the values New Mexicans care about,” said Chairwoman Barela. “The state of our party is incredibly strong. New Mexico Republicans are more unified than ever before, and we are committed to showing New Mexico voters why Republicans are worthy of their trust this November. It’s time we take our great state back.
