REPORT A VOTING INCIDENT: 505-305-0763

Albuquerque, May 12 — In anticipation of Title 42’s expiration at midnight Friday, House Republicans voted on and successfully passed their border security bill, H.R.2, The Secure the Border Act, on a 219-213 vote.

All three New Mexico Representatives, Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM 01), Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez (D-NM 03), and Rep. Gabe Vasquez (D-NM 02), voted against the border security bill.

Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman and former Congressman Steve Pearce issued the following statement:

“By voting against the Secure the Border Act, H.R. 2, all three Democratic representatives confirmed they have no intention of ending this border crisis despite their numerous campaign promises. These representatives missed a great opportunity to come together and show they stand with our New Mexican border communities, which are strained for resources in dealing with this crisis.

All three representatives chose to score political points instead of stopping the deadly flow of fentanyl into our state by cutting off cartels, protecting unaccompanied children from human traffickers, and ending the tragic humanitarian crisis that began on day one of Biden’s Presidency.

H.R. 2 will restore order to this crisis, and New Mexicans will have peace knowing their border is finally secured and protected.

Republicans have always strived to keep America’s borders safe, uphold our laws, and support border patrol and legal immigration. Sadly, that has not been the case with this Democratic administration.”

Since Biden took office:

  • 1.3 million illegal immigrants or “gotaways” have escaped into the U.S., though border officials believe that the official number is underreported
  • Due to a lack of resources to handle the unprecedented surge at the border, Biden lost track of at least 150,000 illegal immigrants who could not be tracked because they were not processed.
  • Bidens open border reputation has led to a record-setting 10,000 illegal immigrants attempting to cross the border daily.
  • Shelters along the border are at capacity.
  • Fentanyl is flowing into our county at catastrophic rates. 645 million lethal doses of fentanyl were seized at the southern border in March alone. Federal officials have said that only 5% to 10% of illegal drugs are apprehended before they flow into our country.

Joe Biden admitted there would be “chaos” after the end of Title 42, but unfortunately, it seems like he and New Mexico’s Democratic representatives want to keep it that way.

Typical for NMGOP “leaders” can’t find the courage to comment on an unbalanced 18 year-old with AR killing people in Farmington. Voters chose Dems for commonsense gun laws consistent with the 2nd Amendment.
People who knew the shooter share in his guilt for not using red flag laws to take away his guns.

  • Law and Order says:

    Law and Order

Perhaps Steve’s concern for law and order could be extended beyond just the boarder?

I wonder if Steve has a strong opinion about what is going down in the Georgia fake electors case? The Georgia fake electors, who like Steve and the New Mexico GOP fake electors, tried to present themselves as the rightful elector college electors and steal the 2020 election FOR Donald Trump. The Georgia fake electors recently took plea deals to avoid being indicted for their crimes against the people.

Steve Pierce is a criminal who tried to invalidate the votes of a majority of New Mexicans in 2020. He is a criminal still engaging in a conspiracy to over through American Democracy with his constant spreading of the BIG LIE.

Other members of the RPNM like Solomon Pena are domestic terrorist who turn to violence when they loose elections because fascist believe they are entitled to rule over us. The BIG LIE caused RPNM member Coupy Griffen of Ortero County to commit insurrection againt the US government on J6 and he has been bared from ever holding office using the 13th Amendment to the US Constitution.

But the GOP is constantly trying to get us to be afraid of bare foot Guatemalans looking for a better life while ignoring the fascist uprising within the GOP. I personally find that second thing a lot more threatening.

If the GOP wants to do something about crime, they could man up like Dr. Frankenstein and go after their creation while taking a hard look in the mirror.

I will admit that I didn’t even read this trash article before skipping to the comments to ask this one question.

Why did Trumps big beautiful wall fail to solve this problem? I remember being promised that if I voted for him in 2016 that board security problems were going to be a thing of the past, so GOP what happened? The GOP likes to present simple, stupid, solutions to very complex problems.

  • JH Cole says:

Voters sent an all-blue delegation to congress precisely to vote against cruel hoaxes like the GOP bill going nowhere, and to work across the aisle for comprehensive immigration reform, which the GOP obstructs. That’s a big reason Y. Herrell and all statewide Republican candidates lost.

Mr. Pearce, Ms. Barela and Ms. Skaggs don’t dare comment on Justice and Ginni Thomas, the six mass shootings in TX SINCE Uvalde, Loser’s lies on CNN, or any other newsworthy story since their last “Statement” on 4/10, they can only spew the party line on a bad bill.

For the good of the country, NM and the GOP itself, the Party needs new leaders at all levels.

    • JH Cole says:

Oops, I omitted Loser’s conviction for sexual assault and defamation from the list of things Mr. Pearce won’t comment on. In fact, this space has not used the word “Trump” since the day after the document search last August.

No shame, no guts, no leadership in the NM GOP.
