REPORT A VOTING INCIDENT: 505-305-0763

Albuquerque, September 22—In a sadly typical attempt to deflect attention from their voting records that protect criminals and endanger citizens, New Mexico House Democrats are crying “racist” over a mailer depicting a child having his hair cut by a shadowy figure.

The anti-crime mailer in question draws attention to a New Mexico licensure bill that would allow convicted sex offenders to obtain professional work licenses–like barbers and beauticians– and the associated Floor Amendment.

“Any charge of racism over this mailer is ridiculous,” said Rod Montoya, New Mexico House Republican Whip. “A shadowy, gray figure is not a racial category. What this mailer does depict is the danger in which Democrats voted to put our children. When we voted on this bill, Republicans offered an amendment to restrict sex offenders from being able to obtain professional licenses. The House Democrats voted against that amendment. Charges of racism are simply a smokescreen to distract attention from progessives’ voting records which put the interests of convicted criminals over the safety of law-abiding New Mexicans.”

Victim Advocate and co-founder of ROB’D, Veronica Rael-Garcia, released the following statement:

“There is nothing racist about calling out elected officials who continue to coddle criminals and ignore victims and public safety. For these Democrat legislators to try and turn the public’s attention away from their dismal voting records– and claim racism– is outrageous!”

The Republican Party of New Mexico (RPNM) advances the ideals of individual liberties for the advancement of its citizens and the greater prosperity of our communities throughout New Mexico. Led by an Executive Board and its Chairman, former NM Congressman Steve Pearce, RPNM serves all New Mexicans via its headquarters in Albuquerque and can be contacted at (505) 298-3662.

The racism is obvious, but another problem is that to turn a photo from white to gray is to tell a lie. If it were my photo I would sue for misuse of my work.

In short, this is another example of MAGA and NM GOP “leaders” trouble with the truth. They deny or ignore inconvenient facts–Loser Trump, for example–and don’t mind lying for short-term gain.

  • JH Cole says:

Speaking of soft on crime, you “leaders” of NM’s GOP have had two days to admit you were wrong to defend Donald Trump and his team’s crimes against national security. You (Pearce, Curtis, Skaggs) lied and called the August 8 4th Amendment search a “raid” and have not said a word since about the facts that have emerged and the rulings against him by his own appointees.

Do you still believe everyone on the Atlantic Coast is lying but him?

    Say something!

  • GetToughonTreason says:

I agree that America needs to get tough on crime. We need to start by rounding up the GOP members spreading the big lie and perpetuating a coup against the United States of America.

After the enemies of the Republic have been brought to justice then we can discuss lesser crime problems.

Support law enforcement in their efforts to hold Trump and his accomplices accountable, support the rule of law and the constitution.

Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump… with how dogshit Democrats are running things I’m starting to believe the election really was stolen. Your governor is now suspending 2nd amendment rights.
