REPORT A VOTING INCIDENT: 505-305-0763

Albuquerque, August 8–The following is a statement from Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce regarding the Justice Department’s raid on former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate:

“This action is an unethical and corrupt use of the Justice Department by the radical left. The threats to attack and impeach Trump started before he was sworn into office in 2017 and continued during his presidency. It was illegal and unwarranted. The raid today is unprecedented and is one more example of Democrats weaponizing the Department of Justice. The issue is larger than Trump; it threatens our entire system of government.”
The Republican Party of New Mexico (RPNM) advances the ideals of individual liberties for the advancement of its citizens and the greater prosperity of our communities throughout New Mexico. Led by an Executive Board and its Chairman, former NM Congressman Steve Pearce, RPNM serves all New Mexicans via its headquarters in Albuquerque and can be contacted at (505) 298-3662.

Six days and counting since you complained about a 4th Amendment search. The more facts come out the quieter you get, a cowardly and unpatriotic example for the NM GOP to follow.

Pearce, Curtis and Skaggs should grow some ovaries!

  • John Beach says:

I’m a Republican. I vote for most Republican candidates. I’m pleased to see the six previous commenters share my sentiments. The Republican party needs to get back to supporting a set of principles instead of the orange-faced guy who lost as an incumbent to an old dude who barely campaigned. That happened because lots of Republicans did not want the orange-faced guy any more. If he’s nominated, he’ll lose again.

    • ItstheGOP says:

John, Trump is not an aberration. He is a symptom of the Republican Party’s abandonment of truth which has become a central pillar of conservatism.

This is not a bug of the GOP but a feature, when Trump is gone the GOP will just produce more unAmerican fascist. There is literally no group that is a greater threat to the United States than than the Republican Party.

Republicans have had a lot of chances to get off the traitor train but most keep riding.

Those promoting or tolerating the big lie are enemies of the people and must be stopped.

  • GOPareTerrorist says:

Someone who believed the BS Pearce and the rest of the GOP are spouting attacked an FBI office yesterday.

The GOP is the party of would be petty tyrants, traitors and terrorists.

    • LockupGOP says:

Back the Blue! Defend the cops and FBI, shoot a Republican.

      • John Beach says:

It does no good to suggest shooting Republicans. Many live in your neighborhood, as do democrats, libertarians and independents. Most hold similar values.

  • LockupGOP says:

Steve is panicked and he should be, accountability is coming.

Trump is a traitor. So are those involved in the J6 coup. The fake electors should be tried for their crimes.

Only by holding those who spread the big lie accountable can the country be saved.

    Accountability then reconciliation.

  • Robert says:

Where is the Republican Party of Ronald Reagan? No matter the issue it’s either a fix, a hoax, stolen or a conspiracy by the Democrats. It’s now the party of the Trump boot lickers who turn a blind eye to a most dangerous man. The Republican Party platform has become “Protect Donald Trump” not serve the American citizens.

    • Presidents aren't Kings says:

To those defending Trump, what good could possibly come from a former president having national secrets at his private residence after leaving office?

How could this action possibly be beneficial for America?

I can’t think of a single upside for the American people. I can clearly see lots of ways that Trump could benefit from selling this info to our rivals.

The man doesn’t own the office of president. He isn’t entitled to hold office after losing the election and government property is not his personal property.

  • JH Cole says:

What, no statement on AG Garland’s announcement yesterday that he wants to unseal the documents (i.e. show the facts)?!! Shocking!

It’s 2:05 Friday, so discuss the released docs which show likely criminal acts.

Lead, Mr. Pearce, deal with facts!

  • JH Cole says:

Mr. Pearce has no facts, but gasses away with accusations he can’t back up. Not unusual for him, Ms. Skaggs and Mr. Curtis to support Trump and ignore reality.

These “leaders” should do some gassing about the 1/6 insurrection and Mr. Trump’s ongoing coup attempt, about his his pleading the 5th and obstructing investigations into his actions all over the country.

GOP leaders across the country show the same values in their response to the 4th Amendment search of Trump’s place: facts and crimes don’t matter; accusing Dems without evidence is OK, using fact-free bs in support of narcissism, partisan politics and their own careers is fine. Oaths of office and the Constitution don’t matter. (Leader McConnell is being at least a little circumspect.)

I can hardly wait to hear their excuses after the facts come out.
