Albuquerque, March 1—This evening President Biden delivered his first State of the Union Address, but provided nothing but a list of false achievements and plenty of excuses. The President offered no bold initiatives or true strategy to fix a country that’s been devastated by his poor decisions and lack of leadership. His speech was all smoke and mirrors. Biden said the State of the Union is “strong” but, in fact, it is weak. Biden is facing a world crisis, an energy disaster, soaring inflation, rising gas prices, out-of-control crime and plummeting polls. Americans know this. Biden’s first year in office has been marked by failed policies at home and abroad, poor leadership, divisive rhetoric, and broken promises. Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce issued the following statement on the President’s State of the Union Address: “This President is oblivious to the global catastrophe he must be blamed for due to his harmful energy policies and his blunders in dealing with Russia and Afghanistan. His radical agenda may have an irreparable impact on Americans. Inflation is at a 40-year high, our borders are less secure, crime is escalating nationwide and his COVID policies have failed. Biden has embarrassed America and has no clue how to address the serious domestic and global issues that threaten Americans. Biden’s economic agenda has hurt Americans and his ineptitude in foreign affairs has led to global instability. It’s no wonder virtually every poll shows Americans disapproving of his performance. In just eight months, the American people will hold Biden and Democrats accountable for their failures – they’ll deliver Republican electoral victories up and down the ballot.” |

Today is Friday, March 4, and I look forward to reading your response to today’s jobs report, the latest good news in this economic recovery. NM’s Republican leaders will lose credibility if they only comment when they think they can spin the numbers into bad news.
Some congratulations are in order to all the new hires, so maybe you can find a way to give Donald Trump or Marjorie Taylor Greene credit for them.
(Oh yes, you should comment on MTG and Representative Boebert, too. Is Lindsey Graham right that they should just shut up?)
