NO ONE HAS BEEN FIRED OR TAKES RESPONSIBILITY IN THIS CALAMITY –THE PRESIDENT IS UNFIT TO LEAD
| Albuquerque, August 31—The Republican Party of New Mexico is heartbroken and outraged over President Biden’s failed withdrawal from Afghanistan. His poor decisions and reckless actions have now left an uncertain number of Americans stranded behind enemy lines. Chaos, blood, death, stubbornness, lies, and a new terrorist safe haven–these are now the hallmarks of Joe Biden’s presidency and will mark his failed legacy. President Biden has broken his promise to “stay” until every American is evacuated and instead has abandoned innocent Americans who are now at the mercy of the Taliban. The Biden Administration failed America and failed its citizens. We have become a disgrace to the men and women of our armed forces and have created possible death sentences for our fellow Americans who remain like sitting ducks for the terrorists who now rule Afghanistan. Because of Joe Biden, the Taliban now has $85 billion in the latest military hardware, including 75,000 vehicles, 208 military aircraft—including 33 of the latest Blackhawk helicopters (the Chinese are looking forward to stealing that technology), pallets of $100 bills, 64,000 fifty-caliber machine guns, 385,000 assault rifles and millions of rounds for each. Not only is the Taliban better equipped than ever, the world is now more unstable because those weapons will find their way throughout terrorist networks worldwide. In addition, our State Department gave the Taliban lists of names, and now these freedom-loving Afghans are being hunted down door-to-door. The heads of these innocent victims will likely be severed and boldly displayed in the face of the world. Everyone will know this is what happens if you help the Americans. The world used to trust that the United States would be there to help stabilize unstable situations. No longer. This geo-political fallout will take decades to heal—if it can ever be fixed. Our allies and nations who were depending on us will now have to fight against those weapons we gave to the Taliban. Our media may be twisting this story by painting a picture of a “successful evacuation” but in the international community, this Administration has made us a laughingstock. U.S. citizens may not know, but the world knows the truth. No matter how many are evacuated from Afghanistan, it is still a failed operation, and Americans have been abandoned in a dangerous environment. We have armed the Taliban, advised the Taliban and will continue to see this so-called “cooperation” result in ethnic and religious cleansing on a scale never imagined. The Democrat-led Biden Administration has embarrassed the United States, and this foreign policy has become a calamity of epic proportions, one that will last for generations. It is a telling fact that in this entire debacle, not one general, not one advisor has been fired. No one is being held responsible, which makes one wonder about the mindset of an administration that has put “woke” generals in charge of our national security. RPNM will always support and honor the American military men and women who defend our nation and support our national objectives. Our hearts and prayers continue to go out to the families and friends of those 13 service members killed this past week in the Kabul airport attack. “This has been a foreign policy blunder of colossal proportions,” said RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce. “President Biden has fully demonstrated his lack of knowledge and ineptitude on the world stage. He has given control of Afghanistan to the Taliban and has endangered American lives inside that nation. His strategy has killed American serviceman and will result in the death of Afghans loyal to the United States. Biden has provided arms and armament for terrorists around the globe. His weak leadership is deplorable, and he continues to put American lives at risk. The world today is much more unstable than it was a month before the President’s botched withdrawal. Americans deserve better from their president and so do our allies.” |
