Albuquerque, August 26—The following is a statement from RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce on today’s deadly explosions in Kabul that have killed U.S. service members and Afghans: “What’s happening in Kabul is heartbreaking and horrific. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Americans who have died and their families. This catastrophe created by the Biden administration continues to worsen, and now the President’s weak and dangerous policies are costing lives. Biden’s actions have put our military and civilians in harm’s way and have opened the doors for terrorist groups to strike. This region is now more unstable, and we are less secure because Biden has botched the Afghanistan withdrawal. The Taliban is now dictating terms to the United States, and America is less safe. As a combat veteran, I also find it inexcusable that the President, many hours later, has not made comment.” |
