| Albuquerque, August 10–The following is a statement from Republican Party of New Mexico Executive Director Kim Skaggs regarding NY Gov. Cuomo’s resignation: “Gov. Cuomo has taken the proper course of action by resigning his office. There is no place for this kind of behavior by a governor or anyone in such a leadership position. His actions must be taken seriously, and what he apparently did was immoral and illegal. Cuomo has violated the public trust of his constituents, failed as a Chief Executive and has embarrassed his office. He must be held accountable. Meantime, there are still questions that must be answered surrounding Gov. Lujan Grisham and sexual harassment allegations against her. She paid hush money in a settlement to a former staffer who claimed he was the victim of sexual and physical abuse.” |
