ALBUQUERQUE, MARCH 4—Tonight, President Donald J. Trump delivered his first Joint Address to Congress of his second term, speaking directly to hardworking New Mexicans who are fed up with a government that has ignored them for too long. The president’s speech put New Mexico front and center with his plans for secure borders, safer communities, strong economic growth, and real accountability for our tax dollars.
“His address to Congress reaffirmed what we, the American people, have known all along—our country is on the path to greatness once again,” said Amy Barela, Chairwoman of the Republican Party of New Mexico. “With a historic 312 Electoral Votes and a 27-point swing, President Trump’s victory was a resounding mandate from the people. We elected him to drain the swamp, expose corruption, and put Americans first, and he is delivering! Yet, here in New Mexico, we continue to see our Democrat leaders fight against progress and block economic growth at every turn.
“One glaring example? Representative Melanie Stansbury’s disrespectful display during the address, holding up a sign that read, ‘This is not normal.’ Well, Representative, you’re right—it’s not normal for the government to finally represent the people instead of special interests. It’s not normal for hardworking New Mexicans to be put first for the first time in years. What’s truly ‘not normal’ is the relentless obstruction from Democrats who refuse to embrace prosperity and opportunity for our state.
“In President Trump’s his first month as president, he’s already cut illegal border crossings down by 94%, dropping to just 8,300 in February from 140,000 a year ago, deported violent Venezuelan gang members from the brutal Tren de Aragua terrorist organization, and has arrested 29 Mexican cartel bosses to ensure they face justice. Unlike the Democrats here who coddle criminals, President Trump is committed to protecting our families.
“President Trump campaigned on draining the swamp, and his administration has already uncovered billions in waste and fraud through DOGE. This is money that the Trump administration is redirecting back towards Medicaid and Medicare to ensure they remain solvent for New Mexicans who rely on them for years to come.
“New Mexico should be following President Trump’s lead, but instead, our Democrat-controlled government is stifling our potential,” Barela said. “Party-line votes are killing our economy, our education system, our agriculture, and both small and large businesses.”
“We know that energy production is the backbone of New Mexico’s economy. Oil and gas revenue pays our bills, funds our schools, and supports our communities. Trump’s vow to bring back American energy independence will bring billions into our state and thousands of high-paying jobs while slashing gas prices and inflation. On top of this, Trump is delivering historic tax breaks for the middle class, including no taxes on tips, Social Security, or overtime, and additional tax breaks that will put over $2,000 back into the pockets of New Mexicans.
“To every New Mexican fed up with the system, we invite you to join us in the fight to make New Mexico Great Again,” Chairwoman Barela concluded. “We have a choice: embrace the proven leadership of President Trump and put our state back on the path of prosperity or continue down the failed path of Democrat policies that keep New Mexicans last.”
I am a true New Mexican, what do I mean let give give you a short history on my families back ground, on my mothers side of the family her father and mother were born here in the early 1914 and 1917 and so were there parents, on my fathers side my grandfather was a Rough Rider and my grandmother was from Oklahoma they came back in the late 1800, I am 62 years old and all the years I have lived here Demarcates have never sided with the poor people of this state, look at all of our smaller communities how run down they are business closing they are almost ghost towns. I am for Raton, N.M. but I live now for 40 years in Rio Rancho, which is gotten so expensive that my grandkid can’t even afford an apartment, homes are going for $4000,000 and up and homes 20 plus years old are going for 320,000 my grandson who works at Intel had to move to a one bedroom with his young wife and kid because the raised his rent to over 1,800 a month hell my wife and I don’t even pay that for our mortgage payment. I have worked all over the US building renewable energy project to make a living because for us New Mexican we can’t afford to make it here. When Donald Trump first ran for office I vote for him because he is a business man not a corrupt politician, and again I voted for him, I have seen these a lot of these politicians that there parents were politicians like our governor who is clueless I have watched her career from when she was just starting out I had high hope that she really gave a crap but turns out she is no different so my fellow New Mexican vote them out let your voices be heard the rich have run the locals out of Santa Fe to edges of the city and the same is happening here in Rio Rancho now we are getting over run by illegals driving nicer cars then myself or my grandkids and homes we are buying with out tax dollars this must stop, think about it shouldn’t you and your family be getting your taxes back so you can afford these things, I have nothing against people coming over and doing it the right way but this crap to crowed as many as they can into out system just to try and get votes is unfair for all of US citizens, I have watched Joe Biden and the democrats try and destroy our county now that we have a strong smart leader we have to stand up for what’s ours, and what is this crap with no voter ID that is plain cheating. Well God bless let me make one thing clear I call my self a half breed because am half Hispanic and Half Iris so I claim no race, I am first a Christian, American and a proud New Mexican.
I want to thank our Congressmen for showing the New Mexico tax payers and the world what kind of person you really are. Disrespecting the President of the United States was pretty cold but to sit on your hands while Mr. Trump was honoring the victims of violence committed by illegals and a young women who had her future destroyed by a man who could only win by competing in women’s sports….shame on you. But it took real balls to refuse to acknowledge the young man fighting cancer. Did you bother to look up at his face when Mr. Trump honored him with a dream come true???? I will make sure everyone I talk to sees you for what you really are…. a cold, heartless, out of touch, self centered, demi god.

-Implementing a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine
-Deporting and detaining violent illegal immigrants and actually securing the border
-Banning grown men who become women through gender reassignment surgery aka not actual women but grown men because they still have DNA and X Y chromosomes to prove that they are still men from competing in women’s sports against actual biological grown women and changing in women’s locker rooms
-Exposing the billions of dollars of waste and fraud
-Trying to broker a peace deal between Israel and Palestine
-Bringing federal employees back to work in person because that is what federal employees are supposed to do, actually show up in person to work
-Honoring children who are battling brain cancer and other diseases
-Banning puberty blockers and gender reassignment surgery for 5-year olds because you want to further a gender ideology that doesn’t work and that you Democrats want to obilerate simple and basic biology that shows that DNA and X Y chromosomes cannot be changed or altered and that shows that you are genetically born as a man or a woman, not identify as a man or a woman
-Actually bringing back the true values of this country to the U.S government and to U.S society and back to social media platforms like Facebook and X and Instagram like freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the Second Amendment, the First Amendment, supporting Israel, protecting women’s sports from men who become women through gender reassignment surgery aka not actual women but men, school choice, parental rights, border security, etc
-Bringing oil and gas back to the United States where it belongs and not in the countries who want to obilerate us, and actually making the United States energy independent where we Americans can actually use our own oil and gas and not go to a country like Iran who wants to obilerate the United States of America

All you Democrats are shouting, fighting and throwing toddler fits because the person you hate the most is actually bringing back the true values of this country and policies back to the United States of America and is actually trying to implement peace in the world, etc. Denial. Hypocrisy. That is what you Democrats, including you JH Cole, represent. No wonder why you Democrats have a 30% approval rating nationwide and no wonder why you lost in November. Denial and hypocrisy. That’s who you are Democrats. You claim to care about children. Yet, you decide to disrespect children who are battling brain cancer and other diseases and you decide to disrespect children by mutilating they’re bodies to further a gender ideology that doesn’t work and also to brainwash them into believing that changing their genders to further a gender ideology that doesn’t work and to hide this from parents is a good thing. You claim to care about women’s sports and women’s rights. If any of you Democrats had a conscience you will be ashamed of your side for them not standing up and honoring a 13-year old child’s battle against brain cancer just because you are obsessed with Trump and the hypocrisy of your side because one of your own people, Congressman Al Green(D-Texas) disrupted the speech and was rightfully kicked out of the building, but then tried to implement articles of impeachment……… because he was kicked out rightfully so for disrupting and disrespecting the President and his speech and disrespecting the honoring of actual hard-working Americans including a 13-year old child’s battle against brain cancer. This is why you Democrats lost in November. But you can’t admit it and you Democrats are shouting and whining and complaining and throwing toddler-like fits because you lost in November fair and square. Denial. Hypocrisy. That’s what you Democrats including you far-left progressive ones like you JH Cole represent. Denial and hypocrisy. And that’s why you lost in November. And that is why you Democrats nationwide have the lowest approval rating probably in years and decades at 30%. And the Democratic Party’s popularity in the United States gets lower and lower every day.
36.6 million viewers tuned in–about 11% of the population–,the lowest number of any of Trump’s four joint session speeches. Few suffered through to the end, and as usual his truthful sentences took up about ten minutes.
The bottom line: TRUMPMUSKvance gets less popular every day.
I am curious. Does anyone here know what the words ‘soft power’ mean? Its how we stay a world power by making all the other nations depend on us by sending foreign aid. Also- are you really ready to release our hold as the top nation in the world? Freedom isn’t free- does that phrase mean nothing to the Republican party? Our vets fought and died- do their lives mean nothing to the Republican party? More people will have to fight and die for freedom now because Trump sacrificed our freedom and our role as a world leader. Your kids. Trump is selling out the freedom that our vets fought for that are boys died for. Do you have no shame? Farmers are losing farms because of Trump. I cannot believe the Republican party has the AUDACITY to say it stands for limited government and the constitution when its shits all over the constitution and lets its reps sit up there taking bribes or threats to say silents. Limited government wouldn’t threaten to withhold rightful tax dollars from states for exercising their state rights.
