In a video taken on Tuesday, Senator Martin Heinrich refused to answer when asked questions about the Biden administration’s policies on the southern border. Additionally, just last week, Senator Martin Heinrich voted against both impeachment charges against Joe Biden’s DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
Under the Biden/Mayorkas leadership:
- More than 9.4 million illegal immigrants have crossed the border.
- This includes the more than 7.6 million illegal immigrants that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has encountered and the 1.8 million gotaways who escaped past Border Patrol and into the country.
- 189,372 illegal immigrants were encountered attempting to cross the U.S.-Mexico border in March alone.
- At least 75 people on the terror watchlist have been encountered trying to enter the U.S. between ports of entry this fiscal year.
- 1,389 pounds of deadly fentanyl and 17,938 pounds of methamphetamine were seized at the southern border in March alone, with much more getting through.
- New Mexico has been named the new hotspot for illegal smugglers and cartel activity coming across the border.
