| Albuquerque, October 28—The following is a statement from RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce on tonight’s 3rd Congressional District debate between Rep. Teresa Leger Fernandez and Alexis Martinez Johnson on KOB-TV:“Tonight Alexis Martinez Johnson made it clear that she is the best candidate to serve the 3rd Congressional District. She demonstrated her understanding of the issues, speaking confidently about forest management, wildfire recovery, energy, internet access, crime and the border. She offered strong solutions, presented the facts and explained how her past experience qualifies her to lead. Leger Fernandez, on the other hand, was erratic, repetitive, appeared out of touch with the issues and seemed defensive with her answers. Martinez Johnson had a real command of the issues and talked specifics when it came to her agenda. Martinez Johnson called out the incumbent on her radical positions and failures while in Washington. It is evident that Martinez has the knowledge and leadership to best represent the people of the District.” |

I watched the debate and Fernandez’s opponent did exceptionally well.

Mr. Pearce must have written this before the debate took place, because it reads almost exactly like his previous “reviews.” Evidently peculiarities of the actual event are too much for him to handle.
