GOVERNOR’S ACTION OBVIOUS CASE OF CRONYISM AS SHE THUMBS HER NOSE AT OTERO COUNTY

Albuquerque, October 14—The Republican Party of New Mexico is dismayed that in a brazen move, Gov. Lujan Grisham has appointed an unqualified person to fill the vacant seat on the Otero County Commission, the seat from which Couy Griffin was removed.

The Governor has named Stephanie Dubois to fill the County Commission District 2 vacancy until the term ends December 31.

Dubois, a progressive, has no political office experience and doesn’t understand the needs and values of the constituents in Otero County. The appointment by the Governor is merely political theater to get a progressive into that seat, a seat that is reliably Republican.

Dubois’s radical record is well known. She stood against Otero County’s Resolution against the Red Flag Law, rallied with the group that failed to recall a local decision passing a resolution for Alamogordo to support the unborn and she went against Otero County’s resolution for Right to Work.

Dubois not only fails to understand what’s important in Otero County, but voters have consistently rejected her radical ideology in her past attempts to run for office.

–In Otero County she lost running for Probate Judge in 2002
–In Otero County she lost running for State Representative in District 57 in 2004
–In Otero County she lost running for Public Regulation Commissioner in 2006
–In Otero County she lost running for Public Regulation Commissioner in 2010
–In Otero County she lost running for State Senator in 2012
–In Otero County she lost running for Commissioner in 2014
–In Otero County she lost running for County Clerk in 2016

See a pattern?

Now the Governor puts her in office in a county where voters have rejected Dubois for 20 years! She doesn’t hold the values or the interests of Otero County constituents.

“This is a blatant case of political theater, and the Governor is putting politics before people,” said RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce. “Lujan Grisham doesn’t care about the constituents of Otero County, and this ridiculous political appointment is proof. Lujan Grisham got someone who will follow her lead and her progressive politics. Dubois will be subservient to Lujan Grisham and ignore what’s best for the residents in Otero County. This is why it’s imperative we get strong, conservative leaders on the Otero County Commission who will truly represent the working people.”
The Republican Party of New Mexico (RPNM) advances the ideals of individual liberties for the advancement of its citizens and the greater prosperity of our communities throughout New Mexico. The only issue on the ballet is the continuation or failure of democracy in America. If you vote for a Republican that is not standing up against Trumps big lie you are voting to be ruled.

First things first where does the GOP stand on democracy in America?

  • Justice for J6 says:

Why was Coupy Griffin’s seat vacated? The answer is because of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution and his treason.

Griffin like many others in the New Mexico Republican Party engaged in insurrection against the United States and are involved in an ongoing coup against American Democracy. The modern GOP is to weak to hold Trump and his cultist accountable so the rest of us will have to step in as did a judge recently with her order to bar Griffin from holding office.

When you hear GOP candidates repeating the big lie, that elections are rigged and unfair when ever they loose, you are hearing a major political party abandon democracy.

The 14th Amendment needs to be applied to ALL who participated in the insurrection on J6, attempted to provide fake electors or otherwise cast aside the will of the people, or repeat the big lie. We can still avoid a bloody civil war if we hold traitors accountable using the 14th Amendment.

Conservatives need to understand that the rest of America, the majority of Americans will not sit by and have democracy stolen by a vocal minority of liars. There will be blood if they do not turn from this path.

Steve Pierce, New Mexico’s fake electors, and RPNM candidates repeating the big like should be held accountable for their crimes against America. The application of the 14th Amendment and exile would be a good start if there is not room enough for them all at Guantanamo bay.

The 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution:
    Section 3.

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any state, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any state legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any state, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

The claim seems correct that Ms. Dubois and her views are not popular in Otero County, but that could mean, and does, that they are better for Otero County than the majority of voters recognize. The majority after all elected Couy Griffin, the man who only needs “instincts” and not “evidence” to reject election results, and who drove guns to Washington DC to protest the Constitutional counting of electoral votes–and probably would reelect him today. (It is no coincidence that the writers omitted the reason he was removed from office.)

The governor is looking out for the real interests of Otero County residents rather than false perceptions of them.
