| Albuquerque, June 30—The following is a statement from RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce on today’s U.S. Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision that defies the EPA’s effort to shut down an energy sector by broadly regulating carbon emissions: “The EPA and President Biden’s Administration have it in their sights to kill New Mexico’s important oil and gas industry, but the high court today declared the EPA is illegally targeting the energy sector. From day one, Biden has made it clear he wants to destroy the fossil fuel industry with his leftist agenda. He and the EPA were clearly overstepping their bounds in their attempt to kill the coal industry. The President’s attempt to destroy the fossil fuel industry is already taking a toll on all Americans as drivers face record-setting gas prices. Motorists are paying $100 to fill up their tanks.” |

It’s been more than a week since NM’s GOP “leaders” posted on this site. Trump’s White House Lawyer Cipollone is testifying before the 1/6 Committee this morning and the GOP base deserves to hear–at last–what Pearce, Curtis, Skaggs, and Herrell think about Trump’s ongoing coup against the Constitution. No guts, leaders?
Mr. Pearce, Mr. Curtis and Ms. Skaggs still can’t bring themselves to comment on Trump’s ongoing coup against the Constitutional transfer of power. These so-called Republicans care only about MAGA lemmings and nothing for the real Republican base.
With leaders like these the Grand Old Party will never get out of the minority in New Mexico. Mr. Pearce, tell us whether you still are proud to be a bogus/illegal elector.
These lies by Mr. Pearce will not help the GOP get out of the minority in NM. Voters knew when they voted for them that President Biden and Governor Grisham would lead us through the painful but necessary transition to renewable energy and away from finite fossil fuels.
That’s why we didn’t vote for big oil shill Steve Pearce, and that’s why we’ll replace Yvette Herrell with environment-friendly Gabe Vasquez in November.
