CALL is hereby made to all RPNM State Central Committee Members of the 9th Judicial District to attend a State Central Committee Meetings on June 23, 2022, held at 6 PM MDT via Zoom. Link to be provided.

This Meeting is open to all SCC members to attend. However, only SCC members of the 9th Judicial District will vote to select one District Attorney Candidate nominate to represent Judicial District 9 on the General election ballot in November of this year.

This State Central Committee Meeting has a single specific agenda. It is being held to choose a Republican nominee to place on the ballot in November for the 9th Judicial District.

The District Attorney in the Ninth Judicial District (Curry and Roosevelt) resigned after the date and now there are no nominees on the ballot from any political party.

2-4-3. STATE – CANDIDATES FOR PUBLIC OFFICE – VACANCIES
If a vacancy occurs in the certified lists of Republican candidates for state or multi-county district public office, either before or after any primary election, such vacancy can be filled under the law. The vacancy shall be filled by the State Central Committee, or appropriate county, or appropriate
district members of the State Central Committee, which action shall be deemed the action of the State Central Committee. The chairman and the secretary of the State Central Committee shall certify to and file with the New Mexico Secretary of State the name of the candidate selected by the State Central Committee to fill the vacancy.

Special Rules proposed for this SCC meeting are:
1. No proxies will be allowed because it is an electronic Meeting.
2. The parliamentary procedure used, shall be the “rule of the gavel.” 3. Voting process will be conducted via electronic ballot… USR 1-3-4
