| Albuquerque, April 18—Today is Tax Day, and it’s a blatant reminder that President Biden’s radical policies would raise taxes on Americans of all income levels. Biden’s latest budget proposal includes 36 tax hikes, totaling $2.5 trillion in new or increased taxes. If Biden’s proposals are pushed through, the nation will have the highest individual and business tax rates in the developed world. Biden’s tax boosts would also impose 11 new increases on American energy producers. Those hikes would mean $45 billion in new taxes, a financial burden that would eventually be passed on to the American consumer. Families will be hit the hardest by Biden’s leftist tax policies. “Biden’s inflation tax is costing American households an extra $5,200 this year or about $433 each month,” said Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce. “This skyrocketing inflation is killing our families, who are paying outrageous prices for food, gas and other necessities. This President has made it clear that he and Democrats have become the party of tax hikes and slow economic growth. This is why we must elect Republicans this fall and end this runaway inflation.” |

Because Pearce and Curtis offer no specific their tax plan of their own, we must assume they go along with the most specific GOP plan at the national level: Senator Ron Johnson’s (R-Wisconsin) campaign proposals. They overtax the middle class and attack Social Security, among other foolishness.
The Grand Old Party will never regain the majority in New Mexico with lame rhetoric like this!
