Albuquerque, March 16—The following is a statement from RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce following news of the crash in West Texas last night that killed multiple students and a coach from the University of the Southwest based in Hobbs, NM. A vehicle carrying members of the men’s and women’s golf teams collided with a pickup truck. “The Republican Party of New Mexico is shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic event. All of us at RPNM wish to express our sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives and who were injured in this horrible crash. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of those students, the coach and others affected and to the entire University and Hobbs communities.” |
