| Albuquerque, November 2—The following is a statement from RPNM Chairman Steve Pearce regarding a newly approved Democratic rule barring firearms at the State Capitol: “This hastily passed rule is another assault on New Mexicans’ constitutional rights by progressive Democrats. There’s no real attempt at addressing security here, but rather just a broad stripping of our Second Amendment rights. This is another example of Democrats imposing their authoritarian rule. People have a right to protect themselves, and progressives in Santa Fe are again ignoring the rights and freedoms of citizens.” |
