FOREIGN FIASCO WILL SOON LEAD TO EVEN MORE DOMESTIC CRISES
Albuquerque, August 16—The Republican Party of New Mexico blames President Biden for a failing foreign policy that’s led to the calamity in Afghanistan. With the Taliban now in control of Afghanistan, Biden’s decisions have led to a complete collapse of that nation, leaving thousands of Americans and our Afghan allies stranded and in grave danger. America’s soldiers, marines, sailors, and airmen who sacrificed so much for 20 years deserve better, and due to Biden’s ineptitude and inability to understand world events and diplomacy, our nation and its military personnel are less secure. While these events unfolded, Biden spent the weekend hidden at Camp David. The Biden Administration’s botched exit from Afghanistan is a foreign policy blunder. It was the President who had said it was “highly unlikely” that the Taliban would overtake Afghanistan. He was wrong. Now the United States has become an international embarrassment. What’s perhaps worse, is that this weak Administration will soon deflect attention from Afghanistan to the domestic agenda where Washington policies have already made a national mess in Biden’s first six months in office. “What’s happening before our eyes in Kabul and around Afghanistan is the direct result of a weak President,” said Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce. “We all know the next phase. There will be an endless parade of diversion issues in the Administration’s shell game. Meanwhile, the people of Afghanistan will suffer tremendously in a vacuum of press on the issue. Women will suffer the most. Already, public murals depicting women in leadership roles in business and government are being painted over. And this administration and its allies in the media will say nothing about the atrocities.” |
