RPNM’S “OPERATION FREEDOM” GOALS AND “POSITIVE CHANGE” MESSAGE ALREADY LEADING TO ACTION THROUGHOUT NEW MEXICO

Albuquerque, June 21—Today the Republican Party of New Mexico is announcing the launch of a massive statewide project designed to rebuild and improve New Mexico communities and generate positive change across the state.

The effort is called “Ambassadors For Positive Change” and is an offshoot of RPNM’s successful “Operation Freedom—Positive Change For New Mexico” convention that was held last month. “Operation Freedom” garnered national attention, gathered national GOP stars, state and local leaders and constituents who all focused on key issues and addressed ways to make New Mexico a better place to live.

A key theme of “Operation Freedom” was to rebuild New Mexico county-by-county and community-by community.

RPNM is taking action.

RPNM is recruiting “Ambassadors” who are developing county teams to deal with all kinds of issues at the local level. RPNM is already tapping these Ambassadors who are stepping up to lead. They will help make an impact as we move forward in our new mission.

These Ambassadors are already establishing team members and creating plans that will focus of dozens of topics and problems facing New Mexico counties. These topics include: school boards, candidate recruitment, businesses, pro-life chapters, chambers of commerce, charter school start-up, holding local agencies accountable, election integrity, involvement of the faith community, conservative union workers, defense of the Constitution – especially the 1stand 2nd Amendments, engaging the conservative Hispanic voters and many others.
“These ambassadors are not waiting for the next election, more resources or a more favorable time. The time is now,” said Kim Skaggs, RPNM Executive Director. “They are making positive change with what they have in their communities.  They are using their hands, their voices and their hearts. They are local voices talking to local people–one community at a time, one county at a time, and their work will help restore pride in New Mexico and restore its traditional values.”

Taking back New Mexico is key, and doing it at the local level is an important part of the goal of “Operation Freedom.”

New Mexicans are angry, but many, thanks to “Operation Freedom,” are turning anger into action.

Our “Ambassadors For Positive Change” launch also includes personal videos that RPNM is distributing statewide. These videos, called “Faces Of Operation Freedom,” are interviews, showing New Mexico first-hand what people from all walks of life are doing to lead to positive change here in our state.

These videos are passionate, inspirational and demonstrate New Mexicans’ desire to change New Mexico for the better.

The videos introduce passionate, hardworking New Mexicans who are already taking the messages and challenges of “Operation Freedom” and applying them in our counties.

They are making a difference, and RPNM is encouraging others around New Mexico to take a stand and help rebuild New Mexico at the grassroots level, employing conservative values and making New Mexico a better place in which to live and raise a family.
The Republican Party of New Mexico (RPNM) advances the ideals of individual liberties for the advancement of its citizens and the greater prosperity of our communities throughout New Mexico.
