The following is a statement from Chairman Steve Pearce regarding Gov. Lujan Grisham’s public health order changes to allow limited outdoor/patio dine-in services for restaurants:
“Today’s decision to allow restaurants to partially open outdoors in most of the state continues her piecemeal solution to our serious problem. The governor refuses to understand that hundreds of restaurants have folded, and this sadly will continue because she will not allow establishments to be treated equally with other businesses. Restaurants and other establishments cannot survive with this kind of partial approach. The governor’s order has destroyed so many livelihoods now, it’s going to take a tremendous effort to get our state to rebound, let along secure a prosperous economy in the future.”
