The following is Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce’s statement on Bernie Sanders’s decision to end his presidential run:
“The decision by Bernie Sanders to end his presidential campaign is not surprising. Democrat insiders decided on Super Tuesday they would support Joe Biden. His socialist ideas are just as destructive as Warrens’ or Sanders’ and the Democratic Party is too radical and out of touch with Americans. President Trump will still win because he has a vision for the future and the internal conviction and stamina to get us there. He continues to show his leadership, particularly during this national/global health crisis, and once it’s over, America will again see more prosperity and economic growth.”
