Torres Small fails New Mexico with Pelosi Vote

Posted On January 3, 2019

Today, Chairman Steve Pearce released the following statement regarding Rep. Xochitl Torres Small’s vote to elect Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives:

“With her very first vote, Rep. Small broke her promise to New Mexicans who believed her when she campaigned on being an independent voice for Southern New Mexico,” said Chairman Pearce. “Her reflexive support for San Francisco radical Nancy Pelosi shows she is totally beholden to the liberal special interests who bankrolled her campaign. Southern New Mexico deserves a Representative who puts them first instead of out of state political allies who don’t share our New Mexican values.”
