RPNM Chairman Statement On Washington, DC Statehood Vote

The following is Chairman Steve Pearce’s statement regarding today’s vote by the U.S. House approving statehood for Washington, D.C.:
“It’s only a symbolic vote since the Constitution declares that DC is separate from states. This is just a political ploy by Democrats to get more representation in Congress. It’s a power grab, and if it gets to the Senate, this matter will go nowhere.”
