The 2024 Republican State Pre-Primary Convention & State Central Committee Meeting—Register HERE.

Press Release|

ALBUQUERQUE, SEPTEMBER 6 — Rep. Ben Ray Luján has declined to take part in a televised U.S. Senate debate on October 5. The debate is sponsored by KOB-TV and the Santa Fe New Mexican. Republican candidate Mark Ronchetti will participate.

The following is a statement from Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce:

“It’s not surprising that Rep. Luján will be a no-show at this important debate. He has done little to help New Mexicans in Congress and has been a no-show in his home District. With an open U.S. Senate seat, it’s vital that voters be able to compare and contrast political views, and it’s obvious Lujan doesn’t care enough to discuss important issues for constituents of his state. This exposes who Rep. Luján really is, and New Mexicans deserve better than this.”
