Republican Party of New Mexico Releases Statement on State Auditor Tim Keller Entering Albuquerque Mayor’s Race

Albuquerque, NM – Today, the Republican Party of New Mexico released the following statement on State Auditor Tim Keller’s announcement that he will run for Mayor of Albuquerque:

“I am disappointed to hear that Tim Keller has decided to run for Mayor of Albuquerque, not only because he is the wrong choice for our city, but also because I lost the office pool on which political position Keller would decide best advances his ambitions,” said Republican Party of New Mexico Spokesman Tucker Keene. “Keller has evidently temporarily abandoned his gubernatorial aspirations and set his sights on adding another line on his resume. The voters of Albuquerque deserve a Mayor that views the office as an opportunity to make a positive impact upon the city, not as another step towards higher office.”
