Republican Party of New Mexico Growth and Achievement Scholarship Already has Many Applicants

Albuquerque, NM – The Republican Party of New Mexico is excited to announce that many high school seniors have already submitted applications to win our Growth and Achievement Scholarship. The scholarship is designed to recognize outstanding high school seniors across the state for their academic achievements, participation in extracurricular activities, and their community service.

“We’re thrilled to see such interest in our scholarship program,” said Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Debbie Maestas. “We kicked off this scholarship program last summer because we wanted to help promote the value of higher education in our state, as well as give back to the community and  recognize and promote further engagement with successful young students in New Mexico.”

The recipient must show exceptional academic achievement, have a 4.0 GPA, plan to attend college full-time and have at least a 95 percent attendance record. In addition, the recipient must also show a commitment to extracurricular activities and strong involvement with their community. Two letters of recommendation from non-related people and one letter of recommendation from a local community leader are also required.

Students must apply before their last day of school, and a winner will be selected in June.
