Hillary Clinton Lands in Albuquerque Amid Rising Controversy and Sinking
Albuquerque, NM– As Hillary Clinton makes her first appearance in New Mexico since announcing her campaign for President, the scandals just continues to grow. Over the past few weeks, there have been new questions concerning the Clinton Foundation from prominent media outlets across the country.
“Hillary’s campaign is all about high ticket, closed-door events with only vetted supporters,” said Debbie Maestas, Chairman of the Republican Party of New Mexico. “She continues to dodge questions and avoid reporters despite the growing mistrust surrounding her scandals and her campaign of secrecy.”
Even Democrats are responding to her refusal to answer questions from the media. Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi recently said the Clintons, “will have to answer for the foundation.”
Then there is the fact that her poll numbers are dropping significantly. Yesterday, a CNN Poll pegged her unfavorable rating at 50%, the lowest it’s been since 2001. Even worse 57% of Americans do not see her as honest or trustworthy— echoing multiple public opinion polls recently showing a majority of voters do not trust Hillary Clinton.
“Hillary has proven time and time again that she is out of touch with the average American, and she cannot be trusted,” Maestas concluded.
Hillary Clinton will be speaking at closed-door fundraising event in Albuquerque. The cost to attend the breakfast is $2,700.
Here is some further background:
A Recent CNN Poll Shows That A Growing Number Of Americans Do Not Trust Hillary Clinton.“A growing number of people say she is not honest and trustworthy (57%, up from 49% in March), less than half feel she cares about people like them (47%, down from 53% last July) and more now feel she does not inspire confidence (50%, up from 42% last March).” (“Poll: New speed bumps for Clinton,” CNN, 6/2/15)
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Said The Clintons ‘Will Have To Answer’ For The Clinton Foundation. “‘Well, the Clintons will have to answer for the foundation,’ Pelosi said. ‘I would imagine that President Clinton’s participation in that event increased the take and the money spent at the foundation is for a very good cause as well.’” (“Nancy Pelosi: ‘Clintons Will Have to Answer For The Foundation’,” Real Clear Politics, 5/29/15)
