First Arrest Made in Democrat-Sponsored Anti-Trump Riots
Albuquerque, NM – Albuquerque Police have made their first arrest related to the violent protests sponsored and led by the Democrat Party of New Mexico in relation to the Donald Trump rally last week.
As reported in the Albuquerque Journal, Police have arrested a man on seven counts of “propulsion of missiles,” related to the rocks and other projectiles thrown at police, convention center windows, and those who attended the Trump rally. Rioters also set fires in response to Trump’s appearance, including Trump t-shirts which were also thrown toward police and those attending the rally. Police expect several more arrest warrants to be served in relation to the riots.
The Democrat Party of New Mexico and notorious far-left group ProgressNow NM encouraged and organized these anti-Trump protests.
“DPNM can try to absolve themselves of the blame for these violent actions all they want, but the bottom line is that they organized the anti-Trump protests and their virulent anti-Trump rhetoric clearly attracted these violent individuals,” said Republican Party of New Mexico Spokesman Tucker Keene. “Their protests got out of control, innocent people got hurt and property got destroyed, and DPNM did nothing to successfully prevent that.”
The individual was arrested after he was caught on national television throwing rocks at policemen and their horses and violently cursing Donald Trump. The riots ultimately cost the city of Albuquerque about $50,000 in damage and compensation for the officers who put their lives in danger fighting to curtail the violence and maintain order. Police ultimately had to use riot gear, smoke and pepper spray to keep the riot under control.
“This kind of violent and destructive behavior reflects poorly on our state and on those who organized the protests,” said Keene. “DPNM should focus on trying to defend Hillary Clinton’s record of failure and corruption instead of letting their over-the-top anti-Trump rhetoric spiral out of control.”
