Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman and former New Mexico Congressman Steve Pearce was elected to serve on the RNC Budget Committee during this week’s annual RNC Winter Meeting at Amelia Island, Florida.
“It’s a great honor to help serve our national party and to provide fiscal guidance as we move forward into key elections in 2022 and 2024,” says Pearce. “I have helped RPNM with record fundraising and smart fiscal management, and I will apply these principles to our national party’s budget heading into these critical years for the RNC. With smart management and solid fundraising efforts, Republicans nationwide can look forward to strong political gains in the future. I am excited about this new challenge on the national front and look forward to working with our members.”
Pearce will serve on the Budget Committee for the RNC’s Western Region. He was nominated by New Mexico National Committeeman and New Mexico House Minority Leader Jim Townsend. New Mexico National Committeewoman Tina Dziuk and Solomon Yue, National Committeeman of the Republican Party of Oregon, seconded the nomination.
As a member of the RNC Budget Committee, Pearce will help oversee the RNC budget and help make key decisions regarding Party’s fiscal and spending policies. The Committee provides budget planning for Conventions, battleground races and presidential elections.
Pearce is among all 168 members of the RNC who are attending its Winter Meeting, which ends today. The event is an opportunity for the national party to address policies, discuss strategies and elect officers.
Pearce will continue his role as Chairman of New Mexico’s Republican Party. He has served as Chairman since 2018. Pearce has served 14 years as New Mexico’s Congressman in the 2nd Congressional District and has served as a member of New Mexico’s House of Representatives.
