Albuquerque, NM – The Republican Party of New Mexico has organized watch parties for tonight’s GOP Presidential Debate on CNN, with six sites across five counties in New Mexico. More than 140 people are expected to attend.
“We’re very excited about how interested the voters are in the process this year, especially younger and college-aged Republicans,” said Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Debbie Maestas. “As evidenced by the record turnout in the early primary states, Republicans all across the country are fired up about winning back the White House, and New Mexicans are no different.”
Parties will be held in Santa Fe County, Bernalillo County, Dona Ana County, Sandoval County and Valencia County. The debate offers New Mexicans a clearer choice between a smaller field.
“With fewer candidates on the stage, each candidate will have more time and opportunity to lay out their unique vision for the Republican Party and the country,” Maestas said. “Our watch parties provide the voters in New Mexico with a chance not only to watch the candidates, but also to discuss what they see with like-minded voters and help make up their mind before our primary in June.”
