NM Delegation Energized During Eventful First Day in Cleveland

Cleveland, OH – The first day of the 2016 Republican National Convention was eventful and the New Mexico Delegation was energized and excited throughout the day.

Delegates spent Monday soaking in the thrill of the occasion, listening to a wide variety of speakers, talking to the media and sharing their experiences at the Convention. Whether this was the first convention a delegate had attended or the fifth, everyone was enthusiastic about the opportunity and eager to participate in the Convention process.

“New Mexico’s Delegates are enjoying themselves and were invigorated by their experience on the first day of the Convention,” said Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Debbie Maestas. “The many engaging speakers last night highlighted the importance of this election and reinforced Donald Trump’s message of public safety and stronger national security.”
